Enterprise 2.0 & Turf Wars

Dion Hinchcliffe has a nice summary of the recent conference. Dion mentions that turf wars are beginning to pop up. I see this as perhaps the most valid evidence of the real emergence of E2.0.

The internal hyperconnectivity that E2.0 creates tends to undermine and disintermediate all low-value-added individuals, groups, and processes. To the degree these entities have power/influence and low ROI (simultaneously), "turf war" may radically misrepresent the conflicts that E2.0 catalyzes since much of the resulting conflict may be more asymmetric than traditional.
